Teifi Valley Motor Club Limited - TVMC

Talbenny Stages

Saturday 18 Apr 2015 [13:18]
Many Teifi Valley Motor Club crews were present at Talbenny race track on the 12th of April to take part in the Bob Shaw Memorial Stages run by Pembrokeshire Motor Club.

It had been a very busy weekend for the TVMC, with The Rali Bro Preseli taking place the night before. But some competitors made the effort to tackle both events in succession. This proved to me a monumental task for drivers, navigators and cars, and resulted in some misfortune for the competitors. Hugo Carey and his navigator Bronwen Carey suffered a blown engine after attempting both events, and James Evans along with Ryan Fletcher also suffered gear box problems.

Tomos Rogers, who entered his first event as a navigator for Dylan Jones, also suffered car problems on the final stage after setting some very promising times. Dafydd Sion-Lloyd, navigator for car 43 also retired after the 2nd stage.

Success came to Chris Hand who finished 5th (28th overall), even after breaking a drive shaft on the first stage. Wyn Lewis was 27th overall and 4th in class in his Proton Satrina

Best placed TVMC member on the day was Lloyd Bettison, who finished 13th overall and 3rd in class along with his navigator Sarah Edwards.
